Peter W. Muthoka (MBS)– KCB Group Chairman
He joined the Board in June 2004 and became Chairman of the Board in May 2008. He holds BA (Hons) Degree from University of East Africa (Nairobi Campus), MA Degree from University of California, Los Angeles (USA) and Bank of England/IMF/WTO/UNESCO Course Certificates. He has served in senior positions with GOK/UN, Central bank of Kenya, College of Banking and Finance, Export Promotion Council of Kenya and Sasini Limited. He is a Fellow of Kenya Institute of Bankers (FKIB) and Fellow of Kenya Institute of Management (FKIM). He is the Chairman of KCB (S), KCB (U), KCB (R) and Director of KCB (T), S&L, KCB Foundation and Sasini Limited.   

Dr. Martin Oduor-Otieno, C.B.S – KCB Group Chief Executive
He joined the bank in the year 2005 and is a Director of all KCB Group Companies. He holds an honorary Doctor of Business Leadership degree from the KCA University. He also has an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting and is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program, a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Bankers (KIB) and a Certified Public Secretary (CPS). He has been awarded the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (C.B.S) for his distinguished service to the nation by His Excellency,  the President of the Republic of Kenya. He is the current Chairman of the Kenya Bankers Association, and in this capacity represents the industry on the boards of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE).

Joseph Kinyua, CBS – Director
He joined the Board in July 2004. He holds BA and MA degrees in Economics from University of Nairobi. He is currently the Permanent Secretary, Treasury, a member of the Board of Governors of African Economic Research Consortium and alternate Governor of World Bank Board of Governors. He has served in various senior positions in the Ministry of Finance and Central Bank of Kenya. He has also served as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Planning and National Development and Ministry of Agriculture. He has also worked as an economist with the International Monetary Fund between 1985 and 1990.  

Eng Jeremia Ndetto - Director
He joined the Board in June 2003. He is a member of Institute Electrical Engineers (UK) and practices as a Consulting Electrical Engineer. He is also the Director of Kenya Electricity Generating Company Limited (KenGen). He is the Chairman of the Bank’s Audit and Compliance Committee. 


 

Prof. Peter Kimuyu – Director
He joined the Board in June 2006. He holds PhD in Economics from University of Nairobi. He is currently a Professor of Economics, Founder Director School of Economics at Nairobi University and Chairman, Board of Directors of the Export Promotion Council. He is the Chairman of the KCB Staff Retirement Benefits (Defined Contribution) Scheme. 

Joseph I. Adongo– Director
He joined the Board in June 2005. He holds a BA and MA degrees in Economics.  He is a Fellow of the Economic Institute of the World Bank. He is also the Chairman of Betting Control and Licensing Board and Chairman of the Bank’s Credit Committee. He is also the Chairman of the KCB Staff Pension Fund (Defined Benefit) Scheme.


 

Sunil Shah – Director
He joined the Board in June 2004. He is currently the Executive Director and Managing Director of United Millers Limited and a member of various Professional Bodies among other directorships. 
 

Catherine Kimura – Director
She joined the Board June 2003 (representing Permanent Secretary Treasury). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hon) from University of East Africa (Nairobi), a Diploma in Tourism and International Relations (Finance), a Certificate in Public Finance (University of Connecticut) and a Certificate in Budgeting (Havard). She has served in senior positions in Government rising to the position of Investment Secretary, Ministry of Finance. She is currently the Chairman of the Bank's Human Resource and Remuneration Committee and a Director of KCB (U). 

Susan Omanga - Director
She joined the Board in June 2004. She holds a Degree in Business Management and Marketing. She is currently the Managing Director of Exclamation Marketing Limited. She has headed marketing departments in local banking industry for many years. She is the Chairman of the KCB Foundation.

Catherine Kola- Director
She joined the Board in May 2009. She has over 26 years experience in law practise and company secretarial in the Financial and energy sectors. She is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Certified Public Secretary of Kenya (CPSK) and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Nairobi.  

Samuel Kimani, - Deputy Chief Executive, Group Controls
He joined KCB in 2000 as the Financial Controller and later promoted to Divisional Director Finance before being promoted to his current position in May 2007. He has over 20 years experience in Financial Management having worked with PriceWaterHouseCoopers as a financial consultant before joining Central Bank of Kenya as Deputy Chief Banking Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Strategic Management both from the University of Nairobi.  He is a  member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK).
